Wonder when the last time I wasn’t was.
Definitely something I wondered when I finally learned the word to put to my experience. Weird how having a name to describe something brings attention to something you've been experiencing for long enough that its hard to know how long you've been experiencing it.
Would appreciate. Let me know if I just made up stuff and read into things too much or if my feelings of [citation needed] was justified.
I'm super exaggerating and she says she's only complaining about those who think of binary trans as an insult and that she only gives it so much attention because reasons other than thinking it's actually the biggest problem. But iirc, the pace of citations seemed to drop to the deluge of citations elsewhere in the book, so it always felt kinda sus to me.

It's weird how much the book explicitly quotes sources, but the whole book seems to push the idea of "NBs are the real oppressors" without nearly as much direct quotes and I wonder if it's an argument against those texts, but I've yet to read those so feel unqualified to say. Enjoyed a lot of the book overall, but the anti-"unique snowflake" messaging throughout seems a little too truscummy for me to want to give it an uncritical recommendation.
Tbh in the US things seem to be moving towards the point where it is that bad.
Personally I haven't had any issues yet. I've only interactive with PP and a couple of nurses I've mentioned being on E to though. OTOH, my state's AG has already attempted to make a database of trans people from medical establishments IIRC and has instructed Department of Transportation to forward any gender-change marker request to make database, so it seems there are some attempting to make it very unsafe....
