this is an interesting thought, but I'm still skeptical, especially due to how narrow both of andy beshear's wins were compared to historical democrat victories in the office.

US provincial governor of Kentucky signs an executive order banning conversion therapy for children. He cites his religion for the policy, saying that all children originate from the divine, and that the brutal practice hurts children and thus goes against his religion.
We can unfortunately assume this will only be a temporary victory as Kentucky is a huge red state and his election as a democrat was a fluke due to strong mobilization from labor unions against the previous governor in the 2019 election. Crossing my fingers that this might hurt the organisation of the christofascists enough to slow them down a bit but I'm not holding my breath.
I think that's just the way the wind is blowing, especially with the intelligentsia
