Not really. My point is, it's very easy to dismiss something you have no knowledge or experience of. And I try to avoid doing that because it just contributes to the noise (I'm sure I don't always succeed). But I don't think it's a good thing if reading comprehension and general language skills decrease in general, do you? Do you think people think more clearly, are able to argue their case better or identify disinformation more accurately if they don't know as many words or how to use them?
And were there no consequences for not doing the assignment?
Well, maybe it's a book that they think someone who is looking to "maximise their reading potential" have heard of and might consider it beneficial to have read. Idk why you wouldn't just watch the movie and lie about reading it at that point, but...well.
Well, perhaps that process would be more difficult and resource-intensive in this hypothetical scenario, so it would be much easier and less hassle to just keep the bodies alive?
The simple answer is smart shuffle enables them to put songs in your shuffle that record companies paid them to push to you. In other words, Payola.
Which is fa-ur
This is my go-to as well. "I'm sorry, my audio dropped out, I didn't quite catch that".
I used to work with an Apple fanboy that knew next to nothing about how computers actually work, but he knew that Apple was the best at everything. Any time someone brought up something about a device or service from any other company or with any other OS, his stock answer was always "switch to Apple". Any time someone pointed out that their device offered a feature or functionality they appreciated that Apple did not offer in a convenient way, his stock answer was always "You don't need that." Sometimes he'd add "why would you want to do that? Do X instead".
Fast forward to today, I ended up killing him and am writing this from jail.
The hard thing is finding an infant in a wheelchair to go with you
When corporations dabble in philosophy, you know they're trying to muddy the waters and skirt an ethical issue. It's not a genuine inquiry going on here; it's a "whatever argument serves the bottom line" situation.
I guess there's no such thing as intellectual property either, when you really think about it. Hence nothing wrong with me making and selling pirated samsung phones.
You haven't been looking very hard I gather. There are numerous studies done on the benefits of reading, you could use your preferred search engine to read a few of them perhaps.
