Congrats on the amazing achievement! I've been trying to ascend with a mage (also a warlock) and two challenges (hostile champions + swarm intelligence). My best effort so far ended earlier today (while ascending) on level 11, by a bunch of mobs that seemed to be indestructible, so I know how difficult it is.

That makes sense. Regarding the armor, it was a gamble between the chain and the scale; the scale would help me a lot with Tengu but, as you say, maybe not be so useful in the demon halls. Having said that, I've finished runs with scale at +7 before (but without challenges).
I'm rethinking attempting the demon halls with a prismatic light staff since, as you suggest, it does not do a ton of damage. What I don't like about lightning is that it can only be used at range, and the succubs and reapers like to get close very quickly.
Thanks, these are good ideas!
Thanks for the ideas!
Unfortunately, that is a ring of tenacity, not a RoW. By this point, I have completed the wand quest; I was offered a wand of corruption or prismatic light, which is what I went with. And, this dungeon has so few seeds that I don't have enough crystals to get a trinket! I've used all the crystals to cook meat (dungeon is pretty low on food as well), and to upgrade the wand of warding to +1.
Thanks -- I try to do the same, but I'm finding it hard to survive long enough to reach the blacksmith without upgrades, especially if the loot is not very good. I guess I need to improve my strategy, as well.
I've been trying with two challenges (badder bosses + swarm intelligence) and I've been unable to finish. Twice I've died in level 23...
Congrats!
When I find a wand of warding, I usually turn it to resin at the next alchemy pot. Maybe I need to learn how to use it better...
Rogues are super fun to play! Invisibility on demand is so powerful.
When not upgraded, armor blocks between 0 and X, but blocking increases with upgrades as +1/+tier. In addition, evasion means a hit can be avoided entirely.
One thing I'd add to all the good advice here: positioning is crucial. You should avoid facing more than one mob at a time. Use doors to your advantage: when a mob enters a door square, you will surprise it and get a guaranteed hit. Use hallways to force mobs to get to you one at a time. Be careful when you're in an open, large room, since a ranged mob can kill you very quickly.
Congratulations! It does feel good to keep improving every game.
There are some comments and calculations here: https://antifandom.com/pixeldungeon/wiki/Shattered_Pixel_Dungeon/Enchantments_%26_Glyphs#Stone
I'm not sure how accurate they are, though; I've found that some of the numbers in that wiki are not accurate (at least for SPD v4.2).
