You're assuming they think using logic. You're wrong. They go by emotion, and you can't use logic to reason with them.

My old DM would do this.
He would also sometimes hand players little notes: often full of info that their character would know but had to be kept secret from other players.
But sometimes, the note would be empty aside from a request for the player to not say anything.
The level of tension when the DM hands out a note to everyone but you is... something.
The one time it was a Pam Anderson nude was when I tried to download the music video of Linkin Park - Papercut, turned out to be the intro credits to Barb Wire on loop

I have a 4k blu-ray remux of Misery that has a 104 Mpbs bitrate. But there are only a couple of movies in my collection that break 100. Most of my remuxes are around 50 to 70.
Anyhoo it's all moot in terms of network speed since I just use a htpc to play all of them.
It's not too difficult to do with some of the broken builds and items. Monk/Rogue can do it, as can GWM Sorlockadin and throwing Barb/Rogue.
Then of course there's the goomba stomp monk but you're gonna be there forever.

100%. If you as a DM get salty about the players using the tools given to them, you're a bad DM.
My approach is basically: One playthrough for the story I want. One playthrough for the story the game gives me. One playthrough where I just be an evil fucking bastard.
