I don't love the emotes but neither do I hate them. because they tend to get all clumped together in a jokey sub thread so easy to ignore. The avis are mixed in with blocks of text in a way that makes them really difficult to scroll off screen. I don't kniow why I never thought of using ublock earlier, I tried much more ellaboiarte solutions previously.

Well that's nice of you to fix it. :) but how will you learn if you don't ask? I'm glad someone else answered you. This whole "it's not my job to educate others" thing can get to be a bit overblown sometimes. Like it's not anyone's job to post here on any topic.
Obviously lots of people are feeling the same way as you do, because otherwise animations would never be used.
I wouldn't really want animations to be banned, because people enjoy them so much. And I just figured out out to use ublock on them, that'll work fine probably.
Maybe you could write it on a diagonal or something. Like spiraling around the outside. Instead of in a straight line like I was thinking.
A conversation I had a long time ago:
Me: "Don't you worry that as a diabetic, you'd die under your ideal society?"
Anarcho-primivist: "Yeah it's a concern of course. I think I could probably inject insulin using a hollowed out thorn."
Many problems here which I won't get into. But it was the last moment I could ever take any of them seriously.
I have 2 conflicting:
-
Before maps in cell phones I was lost all the time. Even in places I know well, I can still get lost. I used to carry a paper map around with me absolutely everywhere even after I lived somewhere for 10 years. I can still get lost easily but with a phone map I am at least able to locate where I am. I don't use it much until I actually become lost, then I am glad I have it. I do not think I have gotten any worse at navigation.

The other day I was on the bus and I was snooping into the windows of the cars in the other lanes. I noticed that virtually all of them had the GPS up on a phone mount. It was about 5pm on a weekday, probably everyone commuting from work. Just picked up the kids. Whatever. Going home. Going the same way they go every day. Even though I can get lost easily and in places I know, even I am not so helpless that I just have it up by default all of the time, telling me how to go down a main road that I take daily.
And of course the worst part of it is that thanks to misinformation being spread by "the bird site", most birds are vaccine denialists who won't even take the vaccine.
(Sorry I am not able to articulate the joke properly. Maybe someone else can do it better.)
On Friday, Moderna said the additional funding will help pay for late-stage development, licensure of the vaccines and expanding clinical studies for additional subtypes of pandemic influenza to prevent other potential public health emergencies.
So it is ready to go, basically?
Obviously EXPROPRIATION is the right tool for the job.
Well it's one I would trust more to give me a certain kind of perspective, and be selecting better quality links than others, if the others are concerned with general news at all.
But if most of the people who have the wherewithall to do that enjoy posting in the mega style, I don't see much to do about it.
Not complete till there's a guestbook.
How did you do the bouncing around title thing at the top? I don't recall we had that in those days.
I don't know if it says anything that the caption says "social media posts" but 3 of them are photos of IRL signs/banners, and the other one is an illustration of a sign. And there is no surrounding context, like 9 trillion likes or anything included. If I was writing this report I would have chosen different images to make my point.
But 2 things from that same document, are they accurate?
During his arrest, authorities discovered Mangione was in possession of a three-page handwritten claim of responsibility. In the writings, he made several references to a "parasitic" healthcare system filled with "corruption and greed".
It was three pages?? Were they very small pages or is there more? The "manifesto" that was posted all over the place is very short, not 3 pages.
During the course of the investigation, law enforcement discovered "delay", "deny", and "depose" written in permanent marker on the bullet casings used in the shooting.
It was written in marker? I assumed you'd have to paint it or something. How big are bullets? I just used a fine point Sharpie to write "depose" as small as I can and it isn't legible below about 1 1/8" x 3/8" on a flat piece of paper. Wouldn't is rub off while being shot out of the gun?
Sorry I just meant the general concept of things written by various butch women. :)
It's basically illegal to prosecute him for anything whole he's still prez.
Biden could have literally ordered the massacre of Trump and all his cronies and not even be eligible for a pardon, due to being untouchable.
