Right, I see it there. By the way I notice you're using the linkswitcher tampermonkey script, have you noticed it slowing down your browser? I was searching for something yesterday and opened like 30 tabs to review one after another, and my browser was getting laggy as hell. 70% CPU usage and >8GB of RAM. Figured out that it was the script that basically indexed all tabs for potential lemmy links, and I had to kill it in order to get a useful browser again.

Damn, sounds like you got a serious case. I finally got it on December 23rd 2022. Excellent timing. I was sleeping 19-20h the first day and had a very, very mild fever (like .5 degrees outside of the normal spectrum), had minor headaches the next morning, and that afternoon I was already feeling like 95%. Company policy was to stay at home until you test negative, so I had 5 days of paid holidays.
When my wife got it the week after, she said she felt like she was dying. Full body aches, high fever, skull-splitting headaches, the full program. She literally stayed in bed for 5 days, and I had to carry her to the toilet.
Oh interesting. I don't think I ever set my display name and yet I don't have anything there. Strange.
Like yours does? It just means he's commenting from another instance than your own home instance. If both you and the other are lemmy.world users and comment on a thread on a third instance, you shouldn't see it.

Ideally you'd boot into a separate OS without internet connection, or if it's checking for that, log into a secondary steam account not linked to your original one in any way.
Liftoff had some bugs with link handling and message replies so I switched to Thunder, and it's been great with a very active and responsive developer. Still, the second sync is out, I'm back to my roots.
Whatsapp, wechat, email.
I don't like them one bit. Pollute the environment, make unnecessary noise, and are dangerous.
Absolutely yes. I'll never go back.
Many are functionally better and of course don't have any ads, but often look utterly terrible, unfortunately.
Been torrenting all through with 1337x and yts.mx despite paying for Netflix. The occasional piratebay for more obscure movies. RARBG was my favorite tracker, but sadly, they are no more.
Luckily I live in China where nobody bothers about copyright laws, so I can max out my 1gbit connection that costs me 2 full dollars a month ๐
