Gog is objectively giving you more value for your money but even cdpr had to release the Gwent standalone on steam eventually because people didn't buy it enough - once it was on steam it sold more than in a year on gog in weeks
People don't look at the alternatives at all - unless it's a AAA game with an exclusive deal

Currently trying out Floorp as a Firefox fork for the possibility that Google's disabling of adblockers in the manifest will make it impossible to use chromium browsers which is kind of good, too
But Vivaldi rules as long as chromium is an option!
I think they actually do understand but don't have enough empathy with other people to see it as their responsibility to protect other people from their viruses.
Not that someone as perfect as them would ever sick enough to potentially infect others...
At least here in Germany everyone is selling drinks (beer as well as Softdrinks) from the tap in cups with usually 1 or 2 euros as a deposit so people don't throw them to the ground and create a hazard
Often the cups are also branded from the band so I collected a couple over the years
