Made some real progress on this. Still want to add a few features before releasing. I am liking this better than the sidebar already. Namely want to add the customizable personal list you can drag/drop communities to to "pin" them to the bar. New options icon too. Still some to do but the functionality is very nice and is coming along. Still styling to do... etc..
Just thought I'd share. I am having a whole lot going on in personal life right now so it may be a few days before I can get this out. Maybe not, just depends :)

Honestly, this was one of the few kitchen gadgets that seemingly lived up to hype for me. We use ours all the time, even though our oven has convection mode which is essentially the same. The oven takes so long to warm up.. where as the "air fryer" is up to temp super quickly. For a small family, the air fryer is used way more. In general I am opposed to kitchen gadgets that are supposedly saving you time or effort versus the "old" way of doing things.

- All external links open in new tab with noreferrer enabled
- Adds a positional side bar that has a searchable list of communities
- Click&drag to resize images
- Set image size after clicking thumbnail
- Hide Lemmy Sidebars
- Show all images on page automatically or by a button click - 0.2.0.1 - (works with all languages now and can be disabled)
- Adds the ability to use the old.reddit style script by soundjester/lemmy_monkey: https://github.com/soundjester/lemmy_monkey (Also: Option to edit post and comment size for easier reading).
- Auto unblur NSFW images
- A link back to home instance on remote instances
- Browse remote community on home instance
- Subscribe to instance easier that doesn't exist on your home instance.
- Works and styled for mobile use as well.
Installation and Configuration:
1 - Browser must have a Userscript addon (Tampermonkey, Greasemonkey, Etc...). Tested with Greasemonkey.
2 - Download either the .JS file or install from greasyfork.
3 - Set home lemmy instance via options page once script is loaded (and manually edit the homeInstance variable in script for all functionality)
This script is all done by a complete amateur for fun. Enjoy and feel free to fork it!

Mobile Non-Intrusive Sidebar:
As a guy with ADHD and had a medical license before getting diagnosed.. yup. Pretty much.
I was diagnosed within the last six months. In my 30s, it drives me crazy to see stuff like this that I knew was weird with me. Why didnt I get treatment sooner... Lol
I'm trying my hardest. I've never created a sub but now I'm creating communities, making add-ons and trying to post. Freedom here of corporate interests is awfully nice. The fediverse is expanding but we're already seeing contracting due to the influx in early June... we definitely had community sprawl. However that was expected. Many communities are doing great! It's great to see!!!

Some of my friends think I'm an idealist but I'd argue that's the point. I vote for whatever would allow us to get to the Star Trek: TNG version of earth. A Post Scarcity society where humans want to better themselves and their communities through each individuals pursuit of their interests unrestricted by any "system". To get there, I care about improving the lives of the entirety of humanity equally while doing away with the disparity inequality we see. It is undoubtedly true capitalism did raise the average QOL of many many people of the entire world, however, others it put into modern slavery.

This is great! Feature request... Can you add this functionality to allow people to sub tho these communities easy. It's what I'm doing in a little javascript that has helped me tremendously!
- Set a homeInstance type variable (ie; https://lemmy.ml) - manually inputted or select from found instances?
- Add a button that links to "homeInstance + "/search/q/!" + community + "@" + site + "/type/All/sort/TopAll/listing_type/All/community_id/0/creator_id/0/page/1""
- site is remoteinstance.whatever
That will take someone straight to being able to sub from their instance.
I saw this application once in the past doing tech support for customers. It used a proxy or forced dns servers to allow you on to the internet it seemed "safe". The user was trying to access websites we used for work. That crazy software takes screenshots of your desktop every few minutes. We worked in the healthcare industry... I forwarded it to our security dept and had to file a HIPAA report...
Terrible software. The persons family didn't trust their own adult kid... I figured it was some form of religious thing.
