Yeah, these have killed before, even if this particular one has yet to

Anything that has an intransparent, engagement driving, ad laden algorithm that determines what you do and don't see is thoroughly unappealing to me. At least now that I'm a little more tech savvy and anti-corporate.

Hear hear. Under the guise of Engagement, corporations have weaponized algorithms to maximize the time you spend on their platforms, and it's absolutely been a race to the bottom, prioritizing Outrage above all else. Hard pass, thanks.

Corporate goals don't align with that of users like they used to.

Expeditions have way more bugs than standard play, which is a bit of a shame. I had to exit the Fishing expedition because my save file kept freezing, gave up on Expeditions ever since, which sucks since I finished the first twelve.

Keep in mind though, multiple bases built over the same area may not be trolling- other players may not even see your base when they're building theirs, until they log back in to find a base on top of their own; that's what happened to me on Expedition 12

So many conflicting feelings.

  • Book 1 was okay, not too bad, I was curious where it'd go
  • Hated book 2, it was way too dark and I saw the ending coming from a third of the way in
  • Book 3 was also WAY too dark, an absolute downer
  • Book 4 had an amazing character arc over the first third, the rest was pretty okay
  • Loved book 5. Absolutely a masterpiece
  • Seriously enjoyed book 6
  • Book 7 is very good so far!

They're all SO long, too

Currently on Book 7 of the Malazan series by Steven Erikson, "Reaper's Gale". Started book 1 back in June, still working my way through them. The whole series improved tremendously after Book 3 finished, it's been a heck of a ride so far.

Yup, I also got strong YA vibes from Babel. Got some other vibes too, but those are spoilers ;)

Flute! I started learning it last December, it's been nearly a year and I've learned SO much. Going to keep at it and get even better!

The plastic face scratches very easily- I've had to buff out 2 scratches in 3 weeks, so I feel like it won't have much longevity for daily use. It's also kinda loud, and can be audibly heard clicking every single second when you're in a quiet space.

Feel free to drop by

60% completed, should be done by end of year! :D

Got Barley from the shelter a few weeks back, she's 7. All her life her name has been "Harley", but she responds to "Barley" so we're going with it

Not sure if it's the same mourning Dove as last time but I'm only a little creeped out so it's fine, it's totally fine. This is fine.

I'm not sure what made me so interesting

We're currently Cat-Sitting for family members, this is Nami! She barks little meows like a dog, and absolutely loves staring out the window all day. :)

Taken last week, apparently it posed somewhat majestically

First time spotting at the feeder. Nice!

Our 12 year old Bombay cat, Hypurrtia, and the sounds she makes.

"Hypurrtia" is intended to be a cat pun of "Hypatia".

I hope her sounds fill your hearts with joy
