The picture apparently is from a 1916 book, when 'imbecile' was still a diagnosis ...but that's still odd.

As someone coming from Photoshop it's really hard to get into Gimp with it missing the layer effects you'd expect, which you all have in Krita.

And the largest ever decoder since it'll need the whole model to work. I'm not particularly knowledgeable on AI but I'll assume this will occupy hundreds of gigabytes, correct me if I'm wrong there. In comparison, libdav1d, an av1 decoder, weighs less than 2 MB.

I once wasted 2 hours on getting an ssl cert working on an irc server by just giving its user access to my nginx certs, which turned out to also need +x. That was when I realized everything I knew about the execute permission was wrong.

I love their approach to Hardware and Linux but have we collectively forgotten that Valve had a huge part in pushing loot boxes and underage gambling? Far from being the least evil company, but still a net win for consumers and I appreciate that they exist.

Doesn't help that in the past month both CS2 and CS2 came out.

I bought a used magic trackpad 1 to use on Linux. It works quite well out of the box including multi touch capabilities but sometimes if you do a lot of movement in one go it will lag behind. The newer ones can be used wired and use higher Bluetooth versions so that's hopefully not an issue.

One noticeable limitation for all is that they run at 90 Hz which is noticeable on a 144 Hz screen, but there aren't really alternatives as far as I could find.

Especially after hearing that some sticks/touchpads (I can't remember what) don't work immediately after booting into Steam OS with the new SSD.

No need to worry, this is just because the recovery image installs an older SteamOS version which does not support the updated firmware of the controls.

The touchscreen and especially mice and keyboards connected via USB should always work, then after a system update that gets you back to a recent SteamOS version the controls will work again as well.

The head of the german extremist right-wing party is a lesbian with a Sri Lankan immigrant partner who lives part-time with their adopted children in Switzerland. Identity will always be secondary to wealth in a system like this, it's a one-way street.
