I didn't give a solution, just an observation. People are willing to be forgiving since they feel Trump is working for them more than establishment politicians are.

Regardless of what you think of it, populism gets votes.

Yes. This is the power of Trump's populism. It's astounding that coastal Americans still don't understand the suffering Middle Americans are going though that continue to lead to these extreme candidates on the right, but here we are.

Micheal Moore was right.

Not hard to vote for a to-be-convicted criminal when the rest of the candidate pool are criminals who will never be convicted.

Why not go a step further and make huge education mandatory? We used to consider high school optional, but eventually we realized the immense value that comes with an educated society.

This would put us in line with other countries who give loans to college students with no interest. I think it's a great idea, much better than the one time loan forgiveness nonsense that was tried before.

Ever hear the concept of the "house n-word"? They were a slave that was allowed to live in the house as a servant, who also got education such as reading and writing. Didn't change the fact most slaves were living in what amounted to chicken coops for humans.

Tyson got to where he is on his own merits, but there can still be institutional discrimination that prevents other black people from doing what he did.

Another great example of this in science is the Nobel Prize. It is infamously sexist, even excluding people who such as Noether who have contributed physics insights comparable to Newton or Einstein.

Funny how the ivory tower that preaches to us about equality and social justice turns out to be racist themselves.

This is the most simple solution and probably a lot safer than the alternatives. Another good option would be to use OpenVPN.

I never said anything was impossible, I said it will be a logistical nightmare that will hurt working class people at the expense of office workers. I'm done engaging if you're going to intentionally take my comments out of context. Good day.

If I didn't graduate high school I would probably just lie to get my foot in the door.

Why would my company pay me overtime rather than telling me to go home after 32 hours? My wage will be cut, the only benefit I get is a better work life balance, but that doesn't mean much when I'll no longer be able to afford rent.

I remember people telling us here in the rust belt that bills like NAFTA would benefit us greatly by reducing the cost of living, yet 30 years later we're still suffering and being told to trust the same pencil pushers who promised not to screw us over last time.

Thankfully I don't see republicans letting this bill though. We've suffered enough of this economic experimentation.
