The sanitation issues that happened at Chipotle in such quick succession a few years ago were corporate sabotage. At the time, Chipotle was the fastest growing chain in the U.S.

Now I’m hearing the title in the Get Smart guy’s voice

This is beside your very well made point, but: I avoid using the word “deplorable” specifically because of the connotation Hillary gave it.

I have a friend who accidentally killed his much-loved dog because he’d only intended to be gone for five minutes. He ended up getting distracted and was away from the car for over an hour. By then, the dog was dead. That was years ago, but it’ll always be heartbreaking.

Well, now I know where to go if I ever want the opinion of a racist asshole billionaire. That’ll probably never happen, but I’ll make a mental note.

This is cruel corporate greed. Shit like this is why regulations have to exist.

My preferred spelling is “weenis”, but that’s a minor detail. The rhyme is what’s important here.

If I was a Tesla owner, the only thing I’d want to know is if I could turn Grok off.

Good. Maybe you can do something to get that counselor replaced, then.

[–] magnetosphere@fedia.io 6 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Is this genuinely the counselor’s opinion, or are they echoing the opinion of the person who can fire them? Is there some screwed up law/school policy that says they “can’t affirm LGBTQ+ identities”?

Could simply be something that happens to ALL ex-employees who are given a free blue check. It gets taken away automatically. Still, kinda sloppy that nobody thought of that.

I was expecting it to be just another post-apocalyptic drama, and I’ve seen so many mediocre ones that Station 11 wasn’t high on my list. I was very wrong.

Station 11 was well written, well cast, and interesting (if confusing at times).

Just about everyone looks better when they smile. It’s true regardless of gender. I don’t see where sexism enters the equation.

I feel pretty oblivious. What am I missing?

Ever have one of those close conversations with some, and walk away thinking “yeh… I’m a good guy” (or whatever pronoun you choose, of course). I just had that happen. It’s a nice, reassuring feeling.

Is it because of the instance they’re posting from, some kind of “award”, or what?
