Yeah I like it too, its awesome!
I had to disable it temporarily though since it was hammering the server for some reason, and we are not quite sure why.
Will post an update as soon as we know whats going on... :)

Is this on mobile? Which client are you using?
We are now on Lemmy 0.19.1 actually, not 0.19.
We noticed there was a critical bug fix for outgoing federation and decided to get that into the update also. It came out yesterday so instead of having another downtime, we decided to go directly to that version.
One of the most interesting features in this release is of course the ability for users to block instances. If you want to try that out, go to your Settings in the web interface (maybe its also supported on some mobile apps), and click the Blocks tab. Here you will see all kinds of blocking you can do:
Can be nice to clean up your feed from stuff you dont want to see.
Absolutely!
We managed to write the wrong time in CET for this downtime, so the update started one hour later than announced because of this. Sorry about that, will double check this for future updates!
Thanks for pointing this out, much appriciated. :)
Love that movie. :)
Absolutely, this is a big one: https://join-lemmy.org/news/2023-12-15_-_Lemmy_Release_v0.19.0_-_Instance_blocking,_Scaled_sort,_and_Federation_Queue
I realize its a bit short notice. :)
It's never been about the best candidates. That's a story for school children. In reality it's all about who is connected to who, who makes favors for who etc.
And naturally you need to be rich, which means you are already connected to a web of individuals who you owe favors, or are expected to satisfy in different ways.
Judging from reviews, people are avoiding VW now because of really shitty infotainment systems...
Happy holidays :)
Yeah it makes sense. Thanks for looking it up and sharing info. And merry Xmas. :)
