I'm running a 7a, would have liked to go to an 8a (or something with a headphone jack) but my company will drop me from email/work apps after end of security updates.

I went with 7a because it runs grapheneeOS without issue and allows my to sandbox play services a little which I need for work but don't want to just let them run wild.

So far so good.

Additionally, ordering from other sites was a gamble a few years ago. Now its a well mapped path and its pretty painless.

Its probably not that people are shit talking behind backs and more that the people who really care are extremely vocal. Everyone that is indifferent or supportive probably doesn't have the need to bring it up every chance they get. They have other things that worry them.

I got a bunch of heads this year to double our team footprint.

I'm using those guys to bring 1mm/month of aws cost back onsite into a kubernetes cluster as well as moving existing on prem services into the same kubernetes and a few other clusters.

I think we've decided the sweet spot is that we build fast with AWS and bring the winners home to lower our opex. Its a relatively nuanced look at how we build and support our products.

So, I've got a few heads on managing legacy, a couple on migrating legacy to on prem k8s, a couple on just managing k8s and physical host lifecycle.

And I'm just kinda floating just helping people out as needed. And I'm not a manager so I have full ability for direction setting and task creation and I don't have to do any reviews or expense reports.

So as a systems eng, this is the best gig I've had in 15 years.

Its funny, my mom used to say 'everybody has three names, the one thirm mom gave them, the one the like to be called and sorry, I didn't catch your name'

Somw how it doesn't apply to pronouns though that would be crazy.

Lol probably? It has a negative PE and they make 8.5 precent of the cars in the market but has a market cap that's still larger than the last 5 last time I checked.

Here's the kicker. They only make 20% of electric vehicles so they aren't cornering that market either. Self driving? Nope not winning there either.

The whole thig is propped up by hopuum.

This is crazy to me because a refurb unit is tested every time.

The don't test every device off the line, but when someone hands them a watch and says,' I broke this'. They actually go through a whole test suite to validate that it's been fixed and works properly.

So, the get 8% of the bottle into a usable form . . . by turning plastic bottles into gases. So where does the rest of the bottle go? How much energy is used for that?

Huh, idk? I was on the waiting lost for like 90 days or so and then no cost. Maybe they just didn't have enough beta testers?

Lol, years? What are you buying the three pack?
