Dad rock. Used to listen to solely classic rock in middle school since that was the only real music, then I grew out of that attitude and started enjoying other types of music. Now I’m returning to some of those old classics and I have a new appreciation for them with a greater understanding of the musical landscape.

Though by dad rock I mostly mean 60s folk rock. Guess that’s not the stereotypical dad rock, which is usually more hard rock oriented

While I understand this, I find it very hard to not have stubble. The amount of shaving that would require….

I try to keep it very short though

Cop kills a squirrel - government overreach

Cops kill thousands of dogs each year - freedom

I don’t think the squirrel should’ve been killed but I hate these goddamn culture wars

They stayed home for less than half a year half a decade ago. Not a single school in my area was shut down for any length of time since then, except of course when there were staff shortages cause so much of the staff had Covid thanks to unmitigated spread. People are just looking for anything to blame our decline in education on that’s not just years and years of gutting public education.

I remember once wearing a costume that required shorts and a really thin shirt, and just being freezing all night

The stateside Puerto Rican community is increasingly suburbanized and also has greatly dispersed. Puerto Ricans are today less numerous in their traditional enclaves in NYC and elsewhere as they have spread to the suburbs. Texas and Ohio have seen huge increases in their Puerto Rican populations in the last decade.

Florida is also notable in that it has had a huge Puerto Rican community for years, centered on central Florida where they buck the stereotypical “urban” trend. This community has always been large and has continued to grow rapidly while other traditional Puerto Rican communities (NYC) have shrunk.

But also this ignores the history of Puerto Rican migration to the mainland. Yes the urban concentrations are probably more well-known, but there’s also a long history of Puerto Ricans migrating to rural communities as farmhands (esp in the 60s and 70s after the Bracero Program ended)

Trump’s been low energy and on some loser shit all year. He’s lost his touch folks.

Comparatively with Kamala he’s been able to regain some momentum since she’s such a crappy candidate tied to the unpopular Biden regime, but Trump has fallen so far from how he used to be.
