in a reply to one of the comments on his apology vid, he says his friend picked it up. So now there are two people who don't know what cabbage is

first of all that's an Australian, please the US has enough to be ashamed of we don't need these kinds of false accusations

second of all I absolutely thought this was a joke but I went to his profile and now I can't tell. All his videos up until that point were just gym videos, no jokes, then all of a sudden he posts this cabbage video. He made one video after that seems like it's supposed to be a joke, but it's not funny at all and just a weird video, maybe it was an attempt to make the cabbage video seem like it was actually a joke the whole time. Then the next video is an apology for not knowing what cabbage was. So idk, doesn't really seem like a joke, especially when his actual attempt at a joke video landed so poorly.

Zootopia Israel will start bombing Zootopia Gaza and Judy Hopps will give a tearful both sides-y speech to Nick Fox about how he needs to support genocide

I actually think this is the one I was referencing in my comment lol, idk where I got the name Ivan from. It'll definitely affect the eastern seaboard, and could cause some bad flooding on the coast, but I don't think it's supposed to actually make landfall in the us

[–] rootsbreadandmakka@hexbear.net 29 points 9 months ago (14 children)

I can only find info on hurricane ivan, and that’s not supposed to hit the us. What are the other ones?

bad take, this is just liberal "why should I care? They vote wrong" logic with a leftist veneer.

Well yeah. Tbh freshwater eels are so endangered idk if I’d eat one even if I had the option. But culinarily I don’t think jellied eels are the worst thing in the world, and the history of the dish is a working class history

But my point is that the English are not the only ones in the world boiling their fish, and so jellied eels are I believe unfairly maligned as some sort of affront to god. Even if they don’t taste great (and I’ve never had them so I can’t say if they do or not), they’re not particularly notable in their preparation nor their ingredients when looking at world cuisine as a whole.
