I think it's likely we'll be disappointed by him in a lot of ways, but the dooming I've seen over on twitter feels more like smug cynicism than any actual thoughts. No discussion on leveraging any of his potential failings to push people left or to get organized, but lots and lots of "there will be no good things, cops will just get more money, don't have any hope".

I think there's definitely people in the online left (marxist or otherwise) who go too far in clowning on the academics and academic study. Beacons rules, but I think Fade is probably my favorite. Subsume also goes unnecessarily hard
What do we think the payscale is for an occasional drop-in talking head interview? How much is ollie getting for spouting his ghoulish nonsense?
Everything else aside, a 4% margin of error makes this a remarkably close race. I think the ranked-choice voting also makes polls like this a little less illuminating, and that will likely boost Mamdani a little bit more as well.
Yeah, according to the US, the Korean War was officially just a "police action", and therefore no reparations were due.
That’s so fucking cool, I hope you’re proud! Having something so tangible to represent your work like that has gotta be a good feeling
Some kids at a college destroyed one, and, stupidly, filmed themselves and sent the video to a big instagram page, Barstool Sports. They got hit with felony vandalism charges. So, just be careful is all I'm saying lmao
Bucatini was robbed, smh
