My take on it is that the Republicans will do their best to drag this out until the election. No compromising or middle ground. Just make it out to be the crazy Democrats fault. This stuff gets to be very predictable after all these years.

What happened to the ai summarizing?

[-] vamp07@lemm.ee 28 points 7 months ago

This country has always had the best politicians money can buy.

I have pro on both and like both. Is there some criteria others have used in the past to pick their favorite? They seem so similar to me. Does one have a killer feature the other does not?

[-] vamp07@lemm.ee 23 points 7 months ago

I have the same gut feeling. People that behave so righteous usually are hiding something.

It’s like watching a clown show. Maybe he should watch more porn and grow up.

I think it's a mistake to sort the favorite communities above the three main choices of everything subscribed and local.

I love the article summarization but if I choose to read an article there is no in browser reader mode?

[-] vamp07@lemm.ee 25 points 8 months ago

The current Republican Party is the weakest least qualified group of politicians I have seen in my lifetime. They would be better of setting up a clown show.

Both X and Reddit have lost my interest. I really liked Reddit but X was and is for people that like to be told what to think.

Mine is from January 2006 and I am very tempted to delete everything and nuke the thing.

If I want to hide read posts, what causes something to be read? It does not seem to be just scrolling by it as in other similar apps.

I’ll bet these companies throw everything under the sun into the theft bucket. That includes internal mishandling of inventory. They then exaggerate the costs for insurance claims.

I played around a bit with sync on android. Is there any CLIENT for iOS with a similar level of feature richness?

I’m angry at her, but more angry at the voters that reelect her. Get new blood into these positions.

My bullshit meter with Ramaswamy is off the charts. He will say anything if he thinks it will give him traction with the Trump crowd.

I have been using Raycast with its integrated AI spell checking and I am completely impressed with the results. I would love to find an equivalent solution for iOS. When I look in the App Store, there are so many options and many of them are overly expensive. I wish I could find out if there is a consensus on a clear winner. One with the ability to create your own saved prompts would be ideal.

Paid Servers? (lemm.ee)

Are there any paid services for either Lemmy or Mastodon? Something where, given it is a subscription service, you would expect them to stick around long-term?

How many of you have seen this interview? He seems pretty credible to me. The part I have a tough time buying into is that humanity discovers aliens and alien tech, and we can keep it under wraps for an extended period of time. The best use we can come up with is illegal activities, and human trafficking? Maybe there is more to it than that, but if any of this turns out to be true, reality is truly stranger than fiction.

I’m constantly running into multiple groups that address the same subject. It would be nice if I could combine those so I saw all the posts in one place. For example, all the forums that are discussing UAPs it would be cool to just look at a single thing that combined them all.

They were always going to win. It's their platform. They can do whatever they want. But... They lost my attention and paid subscription. I now only go to Reddit when I'm looking for something I can't find elsewhere. It used to be my favorite platform.

I suspect it will take some time for this group to get traction, but for those of you in the Fediverse who love DCD, you have a home.

It’s the same crowd and over time they will be identical. The power of moderation is the only thing that keeps nastiness in check.

Microsoft is just as bad or worse than Reddit.
