I wouldn't generalize to all Ukrainians, but pro-Western Ukrainians (and pro-Western Eastern Europeans in general) are 99% racist.

It also plays into the hands of Ukrainian fascists who criminalized being a communist and spent 10 years ruthlessly suppressing any left-wing organizations, calling them "anti-Ukrainian".

To be fair, people on Hexbear are pretty sympathetic to Ukrainians in the Donbass.

But I agree. Same for WW2 era, most joined the Red Army not the Nazis.
