Critical support for more cinematic portrayals of climactic moments of hubris among billionaires with god complexes that lead to mortal realization.
may I interest you in Shadowrun
That's the problem: there isn't nearly enough hubris payoff in Shadowun, usually. Dragonfall comes to mind.
Get a better GM
When it's a CRPG from Harebrained as the technical GM, what am I supposed to do?
(my own tabletop group prefers vanilla fantasy D&D slop)
shrugs in I haven't solved this problem and since leaving uni finding a regular group has gotten a lot harder
re: HBS game, did you play the people's university user created adventure?
I may need to check that out.
I think it's CalFree In Chains (I'm at work atm), the setting is during the Japanese fascist occupation of California and you fight out of a university that's sheltering a bunch of refugees.
That sounds pretty wiz.
Could be the Modern Day Greek Tragedy of Hubris.
When it's bazinga billionaires in a self-designed submarine with a fucking game controller, it's more farce.
It would be even better if, in a dramatic recreation of the submarine explosion, they included as a prop, the exact same model of controller that they used.
