It's funny cause hexbear was one of the og instances along with like lemmy.ml and the contributors here do a lot of heavy lifting for the lemmy project as a whole lol like I think hexbear devs made pinning threads for lemmy possible
Pinning a post globally was something I upstreamed, IIRC. Also Emojis and Taglines
Hard to believe there was a time before having a thousand custom emotes. I was there in the first week and barely remember anything but the random struggle sessions
I love hearing the Hexbear lore!
You know, I bet we’re going to adopt your emojis eventually.

i think a few instances actually have, i know lemmy blahaj zone has them implemented but they dont always work and lemmy world said they were going to implement them but then never did
They talk shit about us while using our emotes smfh
