It's in the interior. One of the things people who don't live in Florida seem to understand is that there are plenty of places that are 50 miles inland. The whole place doesn't just look like Miami. If you want an equivalent of The Villages for the ocean to destroy, might I suggest Venice or Naples.

I refuse to believe anyone actually likes this. Nobody could possibly fall for this abomination just because the houses technically meet the bare minimum for being a waterfront property, right?

grillman, both chronological boomers and honorary/junior boomers such as "kick down the ladder, I got mine" Gen-X assholes really, really like the idea of "house by ocean = paradise" no matter how much environmental devastation or colonial subjugation that may require.
