That show is so painfully unfunny I’m almost convinced you have to be infected with some kind of mind virus to actually laugh at it.
It takes a certain lofty "cry during live attendance of Broadway productions" level of economic privilege and social prestige, especially now.
It's clapter. It's not really funny even to them but they performatively laugh and clap because it says the things they want to believe, sort of like how Tim Allen is for chuds.
I just assume it's some weird attempt at propaganda by the CIA because "SNL was never funny" has been a joke/observation since the 80s.
