No.

People were offered a choice between a full on fascist and a normal, middle of the road politician.

People decided that getting off their asses and voting was too much trouble.

If a student gets an "F" in a class because they didn't study it's not the teacher's fault.

Stop blaming the Dems.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 4 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

Sure, because "normal, middle of the road" is -- checks notes -- Liz fucking Cheney now‽

Look, I held my nose and voted for Harris. I absolutely blame anyone who didn't do the same. But I also blame the Democratic Party for absolutely abandoning the working class, that's for damn sure!

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 13 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Yes, because pardoning student loans and keeping Obamacare strong was abandoning the working class.

And how many people outside of the political class even know who Liz Cheney is?

Maybe instead of holding your nose, you could have been using both hands to get Harris votes?

Wow, I didn't realize Liz Cheney was on the ballot.

Hold on, I'm getting some updates in my ear piece..... They're telling me Cheney wasn't on the ballot, and you're just making excuses to justify why you couldn't vote for Kamala knowing that the donvict would be worse in every possible way.

Bro as long as you and dem leadership holds this opinion. You ain't ever gonna win another election. But enjoy feeling smug and superior, hopefully you made enough last year with your insider trading that nothing in America will actually effect you.

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 4 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

Looks who is talking about smug.

Did you work for Harris, or did you shrug your shoulders and walk away?

There were people who couldn't vote who worked for Lincoln when he explicitly said he wasn't looking to end slavery in his first term.

[–] grue@lemmy.world -3 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Knock it off with the victim-blaming! No matter how much somebody did, you'll simply accuse them of failing to do more just to absolve your precious party from any responsibility whatsoever.

That kind of entitled attitude is why the Democrats lost.

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 1 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

So, thinking people will vote against a fascist is 'entitled?'

[–] grue@lemmy.world -1 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Why do you keep lying? This is what you wrote before:

Did you work for Harris, or did you shrug your shoulders and walk away?

You're blaming everybody who didn't literally "work for Harris." Voting was not enough for you in that comment, so don't try to pretend that's what you were talking about now!

It's a shame that you're working harder to fight me than you did to fight Trump.
