There's a game I don't remember anything from beyond that it was a very interesting RTS with good graphics for it's time and a load of different factions and heroes that had unique dialogue with each other. One of these heroes is a killer cyborg and in an interaction with another hero it'll say "you've got pretty eyes" and then it gets a positive response so it asks "May I have them, if you're not using them?"
That game haunts my mind.
Also just RTS games in general. I miss them. Dawn of War: Dark Crusade was peak and the fact it became yet another squad/hero thing was so sad.
Universe at war: earth assault?
It kind of looks like it, but the movement of the units are faster in universe at wae. I also think it was set on some vague desert -planet. Sci-fi setting anyway.
But this game looks rad as fuck, wow.
Do you recall any other details? Have you eliminated “well-known” games? I ask these questions because I really like helping people find forgotten things and want to help you find the game (assuming you want to find it).
I totally agree about Dawn of War, but I’d place soulstorm as peak solely because of the mods being so good (and adding two of my favorote factions). I liked DoW2, but a 40k RTS with apocalypse scale armies would have been a cooler direction to take the franchise imo. Hence the love for soulstorm modding.
