This is the system of governance you are under. I agree with you that parachuting shouldn't be allowed, but here we are.
This is how the government of Canada operates. It shouldn't come as a surprise.
Absenteeism in the Catholic Church was a major factor in the Protestant Reformation. There will come a time in any system that allows it where it is violently reminded why a disconnect between representative and the population they are supposed to serve is a bad idea.
