From the perspective of Western society, it made me learn that the "apolitical" people are part of the problem and I'd even say complicit in the evils enacted all across the world. There is no middle ground or abstaining side as long as you exist in the world.
I still maintain not being misanthropic, as I truly do believe people are products of their material circumstances and those material circumstances can be changed to create a better society.
Yes, what you say is true, because of their silence, injustice has increased in the world, looting, nepotism, theft and murder have increased, because they remained silent and accepted injustice.
