RULES
- Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling.
- Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible.
- Avoid controversial topics (e.g. politics or societal debates).
- Stay calm: Don’t post angry or to vent or complain. We are a place where everyone can forget about their everyday or not so everyday worries for a moment. Venting, complaining, or posting from a place of anger or resentment doesn't fit the atmosphere we try to foster at all. Feel free to post those on !goodoffmychest@lemmy.world
- Keep it clean and SFW
- No solicitation such as ads, promotional content, spam, surveys etc.

ADHDer here. Same for the caffeine and the pot.
Possibly similar, but the drugs given before an awake surgery also do absolutely nothing to me when they're supposed to make you loopy and calm your anxiety. Nope. I'm entirely lucid for you shoving the tube into my heart, thank you.
Also, red hair? Redhead pain med immunity is a thing.
As if being a ginger wasn't painful enough.
Came here to second this. I have ADHD and basically the only thing most drugs do to me is give me a headache. I don’t get drunk, weed does nothing, and i don’t get high or withdrawals from stimulant meds though very high doses of methylphenidate will make me slightly anxious.
Whether OP has “ADHD” or not, he certainly seems to have a similar kind of neurodivergence to you and I
I don't have ADHD, I just metabolize it quickly. I've come to learn it's not that uncommon in people
Everyone can get drunk. It's a matter of quantity.
