Your classes have assigned reading? I just graduated from a CS masters degree program a few weeks ago and we barely got assigned reading. There were lecture slides and some optional textbooks we could reference. The only times we actually got assigned readings were for a seminar course where we had to read a few research papers so we could understand how to write papers ourselves, and once during a computer security class where we had to read a research paper and do a presentation on it.

Yeah I don’t think most stupid even read the textbook either. Goddamn our current generation of techno wizards are so screwed.
