Democrats have blown millions of dollars on efforts to appeal to “American Men,” who turned to President Donald Trump in droves on election day, in the hopes of winning back the working class, according to a report.
Democrats have spent $20 million on their efforts, with donors and strategists holing up in luxury hotel rooms brainstorming how to convince working-class men to return to the party, according to a New York Times report.
The plan, code-named SAM, or “Speaking with American Men: A Strategic Plan,” promises to use the funds to “study the syntax, language and content that gains attention and virality in these spaces,” according to the report.
As the Times described it, the reports “can read like anthropological studies of people from faraway places.”
The effort also recommends Democrats buy advertisements in video games, among other things, the Times reported.

“Above all, we must shift from a moralizing tone,” the plan urges.
Democrats have “lost credibility by being seen as alien on cultural issues,” McCrary added.

The democratic party has been developing multiple internal layers of protection from progressives since before the red scare. Anyone hoping to change the DNC from within should at least read up on every failed attempt for the past +50 years.
That actually sounds like a super interesting read. Sounds like the only realistic outcome was only ever fascism, since if you try to step outside the parties and get any kind of traction, you get COINTELPRO'd or 360 no-scoped.
Very cogent observation. This is why some of us maintain that fascism is the inevitable or at least practical outcome of liberalism. It is not so much liberalism failing and fascism winning, as fascism being the end form of the liberal process historically. Liberalism cannot allow for any opposition, and the only force against it from within, is fascism.
Well you can try third party but then you run into the electoral commissions. Union organizing has limited success but so far has proven the most durable.
Unions in the US have also neutered themselves again and again, to say nothing of their interests fundamentally being in agreement with the American bourgeoise
