Starting mid June, SUPER stoked to finally have a job that does good work. Been over 18 months since i lost my last job in the tech field, so this feels SO fucking good!

I'll be interfacing with other homelessness orgs in the city to coordinate care plans and stuff, so its the best use of my tech/project mgmt experience i can think of!

Is it for the Americorp thing or did you get another offer separately?

Ahhh cool, yeah

Hopefully you get a better paying gig at the end of it either continuing there or doing something similar

My partner told me to tell you when you're done with it, something about stretching out the tuition reimbursement/school aid stuff so they don't just apply it all at once, because it's taxed, so you can get hit with a huge lump sum tax penalty that might be better stretched out over a couple years instead. Sorry I'm dumb that's the best I understood what she told me

So, if you dont mind asking your partner - im fortunate to not have student loans, and no interest rn in continuing education. What should I do at the end of it instead?

oh idk that'd probably be a question for your americorp people, I guess it's not relevant since you wouldn't be getting that student loan reimbursement stuff to begin with. Idk if they offer an alternative compensation if you don't need loan assistance
