Democrats have blown millions of dollars on efforts to appeal to “American Men,” who turned to President Donald Trump in droves on election day, in the hopes of winning back the working class, according to a report.

Democrats have spent $20 million on their efforts, with donors and strategists holing up in luxury hotel rooms brainstorming how to convince working-class men to return to the party, according to a New York Times report.

The plan, code-named SAM, or “Speaking with American Men: A Strategic Plan,” promises to use the funds to “study the syntax, language and content that gains attention and virality in these spaces,” according to the report.

As the Times described it, the reports “can read like anthropological studies of people from faraway places.”

The effort also recommends Democrats buy advertisements in video games, among other things, the Times reported.

“Above all, we must shift from a moralizing tone,” the plan urges.

Democrats have “lost credibility by being seen as alien on cultural issues,” McCrary added.

I worked for a newspaper for a few months and got fired because they wanted to publish an article about trans issues at the high school without interviewing a single trans person or student, and I refused to approve it. The article only interviewed the principal, who of course maintained that everything was perfect at the high school. I offered to get in touch with students or just do anything to make the article better but the reporter and editor refused. Corporate media is such a fucking joke.

In my experience this is liberal careerists rationalizing reactionary approaches because it keeps their "connections" alive and avoids rocking the boat. Is that what was happening at your newspaper?

Possibly, but the newspaper is exclusively purchased by petite (and even some haute) bourgeois elderly whites who don’t want to hear anything about how their beloved community is changing, unless it’s about some new shithole business opening to hawk overpriced garbage to tourists. The editor who fired me ended up losing her job about a year later, and now she has a much harder job working as the town clerk; i.e., dealing with a shitload of extremely boring and complex paperwork forty hours a week. The reporter was a super old guy who croaked later on after publishing a rabid article or two about my political activities without ever mentioning that I had worked for the newspaper.
