They're going to start shooting very soon. And Americans don't have the stomach for the years of passive resistance that will be required.
You're imagining organized people coordinating to work towards long term goals nationwide...
That's not what would happen. People would just progressively lose it and start crashing out. People can still rationalize that compliance might work out best for them for now.
But if they start killing people for resisting despite not knowing who they're even detaining...
That makes it hard to deny that compliance is pointless. And after that it doesn't take much for entire communities to make the jump to proactive defense.
trump's not raiding cartel safehouses, he's going after harmless workers. So that shows everyone that using violence to resist makes them prioritize others. But some of those harmless workers have kids who were born here and are legal citizens. But they're Americans, and Americans are rarely harmless
Hell, look at how gangs took over the projects in Chicago, they'd straight up have snipers 24/7 and if any cops showed up, it didn't take much for the cops to leave. Like, when push comes to shove, trump can't just bomb downtown LA, and occupying America is practically impossible, even for the American military.
I wish I could believe this.
I mean. Even typing it I was remembering Philly PD doing it...
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1985_MOVE_bombing
But that was 40 years ago and was easily swept under the rug.
While he could order it to happen, and it's technically possible every obeys that order...
Actually pulling it off would virtually guarantee every major city being 100x worse than LA has ever been, even 92 LA. Hell, that only took a decade to beat in Cincinnati. It would be trillions of dollars in infrastructure damage alone, not even getting into lost revenue.
Any attempt to use feds everywhere would spread them too thin and make them ineffective everywhere.
I was thinking Tulsa/greenwood when I wrote the comment, but move/philly was in the back of my mind
Remember, trump said blue states would "disappear off the map" before his midterm 'surprise'
I was reticent about the idea before, but had mentioned it as a terrifying possibility. But, at this point, I would have to consider it likely that he would do much worse than a silly little bomb.
Trump is fundamentally deranged. By this time next year, he will be publicly floating the idea of nuking resistance strongholds.
He definitely can. We just don't know if he will. Probably not anytime soon.
Hey there qrstuv
do you?
Passive is not getting this done
Oh, buddy...
We're way past passive...
If there is to be any saving of the remnants of US democracy, much more that "passive" is required.
Passive/complacent is exactly how we got where we are.
🤦♀️ 🙄 🤡 🖕 💩
That's just going to get a lot of people harmed. We can't win by fighting. We're outmanned, outgunned, out-teched.
