I'm gonna skip the obvious titles and just give you a favorite of mine. Blur, its like Mario Kart with real cars and realistic locations.

Blur has functional multiplayer private servers on PC if you aren't aware

I didnt! I know the PS3 servers were still alive last I checked which is wild.

My weird suggestion would be one of the Top Spin tennis games. They are fun to play while having an audiobook, podcast or music running in the background. The multiplayer is fun too

Super Stardust HD- little arcade shooter with cool weapons that takes place on various 3d planets with asteroids/enemies. Fairly light game comparatively so it should be a good test for plausibility.

It's one of the earlier games from the Returnal studio
