I blocked the instance a long while ago. Not because of divergent views, but because I didn't find myself stimulated by their overall culture and communication style. Other than that, live and let live, glad they have a spot to discuss what they want.

I'd agree with "Live and let live" if they didn't also obviously all come and harass me here, and have a modicum of good faith in my arguments.
The key is to get yourself instance banned from there, and I believe they will no longer see your posts or comments on other instances.

Among communists, a popular saying is "no investigation, no right to speak." If you have only surface-level knowledge of a subject, then anything you contribute to broader conversation on said subject just contributes to the miasma of misinfirmation and miscommunication. Personally restricting yourself from speaking authoritatively on subjects you don't really know or understand greatly enhances the types of conversations you can have, and deepens understanding.
I personally apply this principle as best I can to myself, and I suggest you do the same. Here's a good resource compilation for studying Xinjiang and the situation the Uyghur people are actually in in China, including the background leading up to the correction programs, the allegations of genocide from the west, as well as the only evidence coming from one person named Adrian Zenz, a christian nationalist that hasn't been to China and believes it is his duty from God to punish China. This Adrian Zenz is a member of the US-propaganda outlet "Victims of Communism."
Overall, I hope this helps a bit.

Look I know I was trying to build up to a gotcha but this is all you. Nobody forced you to admit you don't even know where Uyghers live. You made yourself look stupider than I ever could. I was just going to post a 40 minute travel vlog of the region showing off all its Uygher people and culture, but you proudly announced your complete ignorance.

I want you to take that admission of ignorance and keep going with it. Not to us, just admitting to yourself what you really do and don't know. Do you know what an Uygher looks like? What their language or culture are like? Where they live, inside and outside of china? What do you know about china more generally? What have you been told about China, and what do you actually know? What have you seen, what have you been told you've seen, and what haven't you seen?
I'm not telling you you have to believe China is a perfect utopia, I'm just telling you not to believe everything you hear or read about it. The West very publicly considers China and enemy, so every claim it makes about China should be met with scepticism. Have you read the sources provided for the claims made about it? Have you looked at the individuals and organisations that created those sources? You have to read the whole corpus of information to build the real picture.

What they said was incredibly dumb, but a lot of this is just you masturbating and it doesn't really help this person improve or really communicate anything helpful to anyone. Perhaps most importantly, there's no reason to think them incapable of independent thought. The problem is that they are too comfortable not exercising it.
No fuck that, if someone is in the habit of arrogantly pontificating on topics they haven't even done the bare minimum of research, dunking on their ass is a good way to teach them humility and encourage them to either stfu or at least try and do some investigation before opening their pie hole. Being nice to ignorant people and jerking them off constantly just encourages their complacency.
