the core /r/cth was a lot more politically consistent than hexbear is, especially nowadays (2022 onwards), even despite all the babyleftists.
politically consistent? you mean the majority of the subreddit was more politically aligned with each other than most hexbears are? or am i misunderstanding?
in that hexbear is more vibes based politics and sometimes devolves to electoralism/being libs. I feel like if CHAZ happened today hexbears would be unironically losing their minds whereas cth was at least somewhat skeptical (I could be misremembering and that it was actually genzedong). also the lib rehab and everyone is a lib except me jokes, and frequent struggle sessions kind of helped prune early hexbear, without which it has lost its focus
