I'm up to 92 so far. A mix of non English, furry and hentai porn, and a few I just don't see the point of. I've got 6 or 7 users to, mostly bots that repost reddit content, and the piped link bot.

79 so far. If we could just block instances it would be so much better. OR if we had a distinction between NSFW porn and NSFW non porn. I just don't want porn in all, but I want to be able to discover new communities. And I don't want to block all NSFW because I enjoy some content that is marked as NSFW...I just don't want porn.

I’m ok with the porn, I just want to avoid the furry shit. Titties? Sure. An anime fox fucking another anime fox? No thanks.

I would like to see a more finely grained nsfw filter. It could have categories like

  • nudity
  • hardcore porn
  • gore
  • violence

Uhh that's all I can think of right now. Sometimes I like porn but I pretty much never want to see gore.

  • animation nsfw
  • ai-generated nsfw

Yep, I got the same issue with blocking communities. It would be so much simpler to simply block pornlemmy and lemmynsfw than to block the myriad of communities that pop up

[–] TurnItOff_OnAgain@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I don't mind some of the porn. I can just scroll by it when I'm not interested in it.

I'm sure a user based block instance will show up in Lemmy at some point.

I don’t mind the porn either, but not on my main accounts on lemmy.ca and lemmy.world

[–] Mongostein@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

There’s a whole yiff instance with various yiff communities. I think I may have finally gotten them all.

[–] dingus@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Until someone makes another yiff community on the instance lol

[–] Mongostein@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 year ago

Why must I struggle so just not see humanoid animals fucking?

I never saw this problem coming as a child.

[–] weariedfae@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 year ago

Exactly. Well put.

[–] IronDonkey@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The connect app has the ability to block instances, which I find very helpful.

[–] dingus@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

It's a fantastic feature, but the app just does not work well for me
