When they let us drink beer and let the dogs off leash at the hill, no. Now that they don't, yes.

Fyi letting dogs off leash is very I'll advised in a lot of national parks. The dog could end up picking a fight with some wild animal and either kill it or end up being killed, or both.

Yes but they generally have strict rules about keeping them on leash

Two things -- is the "park ranger" title generally associated with national parks? I was referring to LA park rangers and don't know if it's similar in many/any other cities. And the hill meetups were all filled with so many dogs on a clearing that nothing was going to come out of the woods to take them on.

Generally when I hear park rangers I think of national parks staff. Idk much about LA parks authority. Also, I'm down with off leash spaces existing but it's still risky even in the best of circumstances so I get why people want it regulated.
