heeelp, im visiting my parents who i'm not out too, so I had to do a stealth estrogen injection in my room and was really worried about someone walking in. since I was stressed out i fucked up and misread the syringe and injected 0.08 ml instead of 0.18 ml.

I only brought supplies for the one injection so i can't take the rest until tomorrow evening at the earliest, and I have blood test scheduled the day before my next injection and now it feels like no matter what I do it won't be accurate, wtf do i do??

The best course of action is just to tell your doctor you made a mistake with your last injection and how much you injected. The solution might be as simple as moving your test back a week, but its essential they have an accurate picture of what's going on anyways

Seconding this. Scheduling and rescheduling can seem scary. But once you do it, having a solid plan really takes the edge off the anxiety

okayt thanks, i'll just be honest with my doctor. also i made a huge typo in my post and wrote 0.8 instead of 0.08, i didn't fuck up THAT bad

In that case the diff might be negligible a week out if you're making up the rest tomorrow. But do err on the side of caution if you feel that's what you need.

Im torn, it sucks to be on a lower dose, especially since i often become a bit moody the last day before i take my next one, but on the other hand, it's a really short time, and it feels scary messing around with things

So if you make up the difference tomorrow, what will likely happen is that the curve of E entering your bloodstream won't have the sharp spike of the full dose all at once but will instead have 2 shallower curves that merge together and peter out at roughly the same rate it would have if you took it all at once. Since they sit between your muscle and fat layers, there's a bit of a buffer where it takes time for them to be absorbed into your bloodstream. It's not something I'd be too worried about. Sometimes I've made similar mistakes and felt better when I put myself back on track later in the day.

Going over your dose is more difficult as your only option really is to just wait it out.

But still, if you wanna reschedule your appointment I'd definitely do that. You'll be less stressed out overall.

Not exact but this is what 2 half-doses one day apart vs. one full dose looks like.

cat-trans thanks, it's reassuring just plotting things into the graphs and seeing it's gonna be fine either way
