Holy shit are you me? I stopped watching creators when they transitioned, I avoided trans creators when they popped up, I actively avoided this space, even the word "trans" would make me feel certain ways. I would cringe and shy away from stories and articles involving trans people. But at the same time I was completely supportive of trans people and trans rights. It was a bizarre last two-three years of my life.
It's like I knew if I engaged with it, my egg would crack. And yeah, it was this com that finally shattered it. Silver lining is that now I have a backlog of content to catch up, a whole new kind of content to enjoy, and a great community to talk to.
Anyway, I know exactly how you feel.
Haha, I find it so funny how often we say this to one another. It's really good to be able to talk with everyone here about it.
I'm glad I'm not alone. I remember not so long ago you coming out and showing off your avi, and you were so happy.
Kind of weird to be on the other side now
It is truly bizarre how many times everyones experiences overlap on here. I definitely love having this space to post about it.
It's only been three months and it already feels like a lifetime ago. It really does feel like a past life or something. I really am so much happier now though.
