4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source.

Posts which titles don’t match the source won’t be removed, but the autoMod will notify you, and if your title misrepresents the original article, the post will be deleted. If the site changed their headline, the bot might still contact you, just ignore it, we won’t delete your post.

The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.

To be fair, I’d never thought he’d get this far. So maybe, just maybe, at least in an alternate universe, justice will actually be served. 🤞

[–] proudblond@lemmy.world 17 points 5 months ago (4 children)

I was about to ask if I could be transferred to that alternate universe, but maybe I’d actually like to be transferred to one where 2016 went drastically differently.

[–] LilDumpy@lemmy.world 11 points 5 months ago (1 children)

You are allowed, but in that universe you must actually PokémonGO to the polls.

If only we didn’t shoot that gorilla…

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

[–] dohpaz42@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

Have you seen the directors cut of butterfly effect? Yeah, I’d like that ending in my alternate universe.

[–] Wrench@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

We are the alternate universe that's stupidly fucked up.

The article says that a fine is more likely than prison time. So he'll sell a few more hats, collect some donations from his base, and be good to go.

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 5 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Best case scenario, it takes money that could have been spent on his campaign away.

[–] Bumblefumble@lemm.ee 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Well, he's not paying until the appeals process is over, which presumably will go way into the next presidential term.

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

Ah, good point. So, it just takes away money from rubes.

I feel silly to have to say this but you're fucking kidding me right?

My justice bones lasted all of 10 minutes.

[–] Dkarma@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

On a 34 felony count conviction?

[–] suction@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

Everything that needed to happen already happened.

[–] mrmhm@lemmy.world 0 points 5 months ago

This is going to get punted through appeals and yeah, nothing of substance is going to happen
