The followup question to any statement like this should always be to ask her if she knows how much a slice of pizza currently costs.
"And how much is that currently?"
Watch them stumble all over themselves because they haven't ever been to a pizza place and genuinely don't have a clue. Same for all other food prices, which they don't know because they don't pay attention to it because they don't NEED to pay attention to it when they do their shopping.
"How much is a slice of pizza? I will ask my staff to convert a $10 banana unit into a corresponding piece of pizza unit and get back to you. Is 'slice' a common word? I am unfamiliar with it."
