i have no idea who told me this but they were dead set on 4 years because "they should be someone you could have been in high school with"
and then proceeded to be like "well might be cringe if a freshmen was dating a senior" "or college sophmore and high school junior"
and yeah it all fell apart really fast
Jokes on them, I had to redo highschool 7 times
But at least it kind of makes sense, everybody at least has a chance to naturally be in the same peer groups and for general contact to develop into romantic/horny thoughts.
If the older person has to wait all day in the high school parking for the final bell to ring to get a date... seems like that's a bit much to tolerate.
