Mine too. He shares my same generalist love of history and desire to parse out how it has unfolded, which in turn led me to Marxism. I wish I had a friend like that in real life to talk to about the stuff Matt has discussed. I just sound insane talking to the random people I encounter everyday about this stuff.
Since I first listened to the pod. He's crazy smart and has such an excellent knowledge of fascism and history. Shame what happened to him though, especially with a newborn on the way.
If it helps at all, he’s the only actually existing chapo (rip Virgil) who could still function after a stroke. Imagine Felix after one, no hope whatsoever.
Now I'm imagining a really old Felix in a nursing home with dementia talking about de_dust2 to a houseplant.
