This is how it was when I was a kid, my perception was nintendo had invented the GBC for pokeymans
for my switch i have like eight pokemon games and then smt 5 (also tetris 99)
for my 3ds i have every (main) pokemon game on the system, and literally no others
for my ds i have every pokemon game and maybe nintendogs and professor layton somewhere?
for my gameboy i have every pokemon game and (importantly) metroid fusion
why would i need anything else

Complete opposite of me, I play basically every Nintendo series except Pokemon. My switch is a RPG machine though.
the only other nintendo series i care about is metroid tbh, and i played metroid dread on an emulator (rip yuzu)
