Chaotic good here. They have different DPI too so you're never quite sure where your mouse is going to end up.

[–] SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml 41 points 1 year ago

OK, calm down Satan....

[–] dabaldeagul@feddit.nl 11 points 1 year ago

You can use a software called LittleBigMouse to make this better. It's really nice in my experience with 2 1080p screens and one 4k. All roughly the same size

[–] 30p87@feddit.de 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I spend hours aligning their bottoms and virtual position so now my three screens transfer the mouse exactly in their vertical middle.

I also use a tiling WM with tons of workspaces and if I switch workspaces my mouse gets reseted into the middle of the workspace anyway.

This is horrendous. I love it

[–] therandoe@kbin.social 19 points 1 year ago

I feel like all in the chaotic column should have at least one diagonal monitor.

[–] popcar2@programming.dev 14 points 1 year ago

Hell, probably.

Imagine having to manually adjust your tint setting. NTSC, man. Literally shaking in my SMH.

Am I the only chaotic neutral here? I code on the right and do everything else on the left.

[–] evidences@lemmy.world 13 points 1 year ago (3 children)

I'm chaotic neutral but with a third monitor on the left.

Nope. I'm a new convert and I love it. Laptop monitor to the left of the big landscape for random screens. It's fantastic

[–] drew_belloc@programming.dev 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

what about having a tv across the room as a second monitor?

[–] Just_Pizza_Crust@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago (2 children)

If you only use the TV to watch media, you're lawful neutral. If you use it for gaming or anything else, you're chaotic good.

[–] user224@lemmy.sdf.org 6 points 1 year ago

It's still going to be better than screen on budget laptops. I am convinced my laptop's screen is 30Hz and it surely wasn't manufactured to produce colors.

Ummmm... how about 2 vertical monitors above each other?

That's how I got this long ass screenshot, for example:

I don't know how else to do that, so I fixed it with hardware ʘ‿ʘ

But otherwise, true neutral.

[–] sam2099@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Ultrawide flipped vertical?

Hard disagree. More monitors is morally better.

Vertical monitors are good for code, too.

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

One monitor isn't true neutral. It's broke-ass bitch. That's me. I'm a broke-ass bitch.

If you don't care about them matching, thrift stores can have some really good deals.

It's not how I would want to be all the time, but Chaotic Neutral is really great for reviewing documents in a PDF.

What about using Android Tab or Phones as second monitor?

So Chaotic Evil just gets way more screen real estate than everybody else?

I'm Chaotic Neutral (although my vertical monitor is on the left). It was an experiment that stuck because I like being able to read more lines of code at once.

[–] Dee@lemmings.world 8 points 1 year ago

Love my lawful evil setup, works great!

[–] SkinnyTimmy@lemm.ee 8 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

At home: Chaotic good but with three monitors that are all different sizes

At work: Two monitors side by side, and then one above them

Not a programmer though, I make videos

Lawful neutral at home and Chaotic neutral at work

[–] rmuk@feddit.uk 7 points 1 year ago

I'm pretty much chaotic evil, with a laptop.

One thing I will say: anyone who has a single window spanned across multiple monitors needs battering. "Oh, yah, I fookin' love 'aving un two-centimeter black bar in middul of me Word doccumant". Unhinged sociopaths, all of them.

[–] rainynight65@feddit.de 6 points 1 year ago (2 children)

What about those who eschew multi monitor setups in favour of an ultrawide?

[–] autokludge@programming.dev 8 points 1 year ago

basically neutral good without bezels
