Really seems like 'stinging dog' is a proper term and 'after contact with the dog was severed' means it was one of theirs. I'm guessing it was some kind of IOF attack dog that got lost and then attacked some random person?

I think an IDF dog bit a civilian and Israelis condemned it, but the IDF is claiming that their dog was kidnapped by Hamas and brainwashed into attacking the citizen to frame the IDF
