Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). I've noticed the one Lemmy user in particular has launched a campaign of hate and racism towards Harris and it's kind of rough to see it go unmoderated.

[–] Nougat@fedia.io 67 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Must be someone I've already blocked, because I'm not seeing it.

Frankly, I'm not seeing any anti-Harris campaign on here anywhere near as organized as the "gEnOcIdE jOe" one.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 37 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It was about thirty seconds after Biden announced he was done when it switched to Harris bad posts.

[–] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 16 points 3 months ago

Ouf, it's sad to see it.

[–] JimSamtanko@lemm.ee 18 points 3 months ago

They’re regrouping. Trust me. They’re coming back once they have their marching orders.

[–] Bluefalcon@discuss.tchncs.de 28 points 3 months ago (6 children)

Just avoid anything hexbear related.

[–] EleventhHour@lemmy.world 12 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Life improved for me after I blocked that whole instance

[–] Bluefalcon@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 3 months ago

I learned with one conversation, this shit is crazy. Blocked it all.

[–] Drusas@kbin.run 9 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It can be hard to see which instance somebody is on at a glance if you're on mobile.

[–] NotAnotherLemmyUser@lemmy.world 13 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (2 children)

If you're using Voyager: Go to settings -> appearance then scroll all the way to the bottom and toggle on the option for "Show user instance".

Edit: specified 'appearance' setting

[–] Drusas@kbin.run 3 points 3 months ago

I appreciate that and hope it helps somebody, but I am on mbin.

[–] x4740N@lemm.ee 3 points 3 months ago

Or thunder for lemmy

I can think of three right off the top of my head.

[–] cyborganism@lemmy.ca 13 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Name and shame.

Also I would like to simply be aware of who they are so I can block them.

[–] Drusas@kbin.run 10 points 3 months ago

Tempting, but probably frowned upon by the mods. Hang around any of the remotely political threads and you'll get to know some of the more frequent posters and their politics pretty quickly.

[–] kmartburrito@lemmy.world 14 points 3 months ago

I wish you could call them out. I've blocked several and I'm not seeing what you're saying, wonder if it's one I've previously tagged and blocked.

[–] bquintb@midwest.social 5 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

I just block racist trolls... It's so easy, they add nothing to the conversation anyway. We don't have very many of them anyway, they can't figure out how to use Lemmy.

[–] JimSamtanko@lemm.ee 4 points 3 months ago

Call them out.

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Does it relate to a princess of Oz? I have that one blocked.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 80 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

"far-right trolls".

So, Republicans, then?

(Oh, and don't call them Nazis or racists or anything, though! The tone police will be out to claim to that this is why another Republican was trying to turn dementia donnie into pink mist)

[–] seaQueue@lemmy.world 46 points 3 months ago
[–] WatDabney@sopuli.xyz 45 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Ah.... that's hilarious.

It's not like Trump can appeal to a bunch of undecided bigoted assholes - he already had the bigoted asshole vote locked up.

If they keep it up, by November that's all he'll have.

Nobody tell them. I want to see how long it'll take for them to figure it out on their own. If they do.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 17 points 3 months ago

That is the fundamental creeping fear of a Harris campaign. I'm old enough to remember Scott Brown winning Ted Kennedy's Massachusetts Senate Seat largely on the "Ew! Lady Senator?! Gross!" misogynist vibes out of the less savory corners of Chowder Country. Not hard to forget the suffocating Tea Party backlash that struck the country in the wake of its first Black President, either.

There's definitely going to be some number of Biden -> Trump voters purely based on liberal-flavored patriarchal white nationalism. The only question is whether they're out in the swing states. And, if so, whether they'll be eclipsed by a countervailing wave of turnout.

“The leading Democrat presidential candidate’s mother was named Shyamala Gopalan,” Stew Peters, a former bounty hunter and current live streamer, posted to his 620,000 followers. “That should be enough for disqualification.” In recent months, Peters has amped up his vitriol against Indians and Americans of Indian descent.

Wait till this guy hears about the Trump VP's wife.

[–] Marleyinoc@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Doesn't count if you're on their "team." For now, anyways.

[–] Silverseren@fedia.io 30 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I admit, I wasn't expecting them to go as far as using "Colored" as a general insult. Do they seriously think this helps Trump's chances?

[–] dactylotheca@suppo.fi 21 points 3 months ago

Do they seriously think this helps Trump's chances?

Hell, it might.

[–] randon31415@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Trump is more "Colored" than Harris. Colored Orange.

[–] knobbysideup@sh.itjust.works 13 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Deplorables, indeed.

[–] PunnyName@lemmy.world 12 points 3 months ago (1 children)

So just like any other day that ends with Y

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

Naw.

There was a mix up in communication, this is an actual crusade. They went and got the swords and stuff, even.

[–] swordgeek@lemmy.ca 12 points 3 months ago

Far-right trolls...

So then, just Republicans?

[–] MapleEngineer@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago

We all knew it was going to happen. Racism, grievance and identity politics are their entire world.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Well, the to old, sleepy, and dementia "arguments" have lost their grip, so, lacking any actual arguments, they moved on to racism to fight Harris. That is something their clientele knows and can relate to...

[–] iAvicenna@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

nice thing is it might stick with hardcore republicans which will anyway vote Trump but it might even push people on the fence to Harris' direction as they are not so extreme. This is the best kind of propaganda one can hope for.

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

Arrest them all for hate crimes

[–] radivojevic@discuss.online 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)
[–] kibiz0r@midwest.social 12 points 3 months ago

*cue

Though, based on how many people were standing around waiting to say the N-word again, maybe there was a queue.

[–] mjhelto@lemm.ee 2 points 3 months ago

Honestly, who is surprised? Those people are clowns and I'm sure Harris has been dealing with this since becoming a public figure. Her race is lower hanging fruit than her laugh, at this point. I was more surprised by the laughing shit than I am of this!

[–] xc2215x@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Is this surprising anymore ?

[–] nickwitha_k@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Comparing propagandists and shills to the likes of Ken M is a disservice the art of trolling. It's like saying that eating crayons until one vomits onto a canvas to sell for a quick buck at a Sotheby's fine art/stolen cultural artifacts auction is comparable to Michaelangelo's David or Starry Night.

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Does that really help them any? Anyone can plainly see she's a non-white woman.
