Well if people want to keep asking me if I've watched the Olympics, then I have to keep telling them I dont watch the Olympics.

Its the people trying to prove they care about the athleticism of their country once every 4 years who are the weird ones.

I don't even own a television set. My phone is one of the only "dumb" phones still offered by my carrier and I don't believe in the internet. The only way I'll see any of it is if I go to my cross fit class and they have it on one of the screens there. But I'm currently boycotting that place because I'm vegan and they have animal leather seating in the common area, of which I do not approve.

It’s honestly much easier to watch online than on any TV station. CBC has excellent coverage and you can watch literally any event without ads (sometimes there’s ads but it’s not consistent. I think I’ve seen maybe 3 and I’ve watched like 50+ hours of Olympics so far lol).

Streameast let's you watch 4 "channels" at the same time, and you are not restricted to team USA coverage, much better than paying for peacock

I just use Picture-in-Picture mode and watch as many CBC streams as I want lol.

This year is the first time I watched the Olympics, and man, I don't even care about the countries or my nation being represented, just these hot men and women doing martial arts and gymnastics

Nothing wrong with that. I hear about him less often than I hear about the olympics.

Actually, people seem to be weirdly insistent on telling me all about the olympics.

He also doesn't watch the Super Bowl

Sounds cool tbh

Do people watch the Olympics these days? I think it's more like the traditional version, where we receive scroll with updated results and the occasional video.

I'm using Arch to not watch the Olympics, btw.

I find it odd, the biggest sports fans in my office are not interested in the Olympic. 🤔

General team sports is more of a tribe identity thing then enjoying the actual sport itself.

I didn't even know the Olympics were going on
